��As we all know the world is progressing and to move with the time we need to pull off our requirements which are important to progress . One of the requirement is education but unfortumaterly its becoming a tougher day by day . No one yet have discovered has had the people made it tough or it is itself tougher .... Exams occur to check how much knowledge the students have gained , at the same time they guage how much of knowledge the students have retained in thier minds . No matter right or wromg in the process of retention of knowledge students most often depend upon CRAMMING , and end up with a problem or medically declined as a disease.
WHAT IS CRAMMING ???
Cramming is learning a passage by heart . Students read aloud the paragraph repeatdly till they are sure they will preserve it . Although most of the students do not endorse this , it is a fact that understnding a passage is something that helps more in remembering it than just learning it word to word . Cramming does not always help . Moreover practice shows that students who comprehend a topic are more likely to retain it than those who just cram it by heart . Cramming is supposedly helpful in lower classes . Our traditional system of education tests the memory of students or how much has had understood it rather than comprehension. Another delimma that resluts from cramming is that it requires greater fatigue than it does in comprehension.
STOP CRAMMING !!!!! BUT HOW ???
A good hold over the subject implies that you comprehend its central idea. Discussing the topic with teacher or colleagues help in this regard . In this way < you remove the doubts you have in yopur mind and clarify them . AT the sametine you gain advantage by knowing how the other poeple think . Interaction with knowledgeable person helps in retention.
KNOW THY WORDS .....
A vast vocablery helps you to understnd a subject , it helps you in thorough comprehension. The crux of the matter is that cramming is condemnable . It must be replced by comprehension. Students should understnd the view point of thier teacher as well as the author of the book they read and then trt to describe the same idea in thier own words . This will help them improving thier ability to replicate and retain the ideas ,not just the words .
